The Garmong Construction Scholarship Award was established in 2026 by Garmong Construction, a full-service construction firm based in Terre Haute, Indiana, with a legacy of building and serving the communities of the Wabash Valley.
The scholarship will support students pursuing careers in construction management and related fields, as well as the skilled trades - providing a clear path from Vigo County classrooms into meaningful, in-demand careers.
Criteria is listed below:
Must be a current senior attending any VCSC high school.
Applicant must be planning to pursue a degree in construction management and related fields or skilled trade certification immediately after high school graduation.
Applicant must possess good character and have a positive outlook.
Applicant will have participated in school, community service, and/or been employed.
Applicant must have a solid academic record.
Submit a 500-words or less essay describing the student's hopes, goals, and plans for their future.
Submit two (2) recommendations from high school faculty or administration.
